In the last several months, several articles appeared in reputable media outlets about a possibility, of the Second Civil War in the U.S. These articles were echoed by high profile politicians and academics from both sides of the political divide. Ordinary Americans also share this sentiment. A poll conducted last June by Rasmussen Reports found that 31% of Americans believe that there will be a civil war in the U.S. in the next five years. Is our disruptor-and-chief President Trump responsible for this sentiment? Or maybe it is the fault of the Democratic establishment trying to remove Trump from office by all means, legal or illegal? Or maybe it is an occult society of the super-wealthy pulling the strings? Well, maybe all of the above to some degree, but the true villain here is Eris, a newly discovered planet the size of Pluto.

Eris, Goddess of Discord

In Greek Mythology, Eris is a Goddess of strife and discord. It was her who started the famous Trojan War fought not only by the Trojans and Greeks, but also by the Gods. Stressful aspects of this planet trigger revolutions, acts of terror and civil wars. This was the case of the American Civil War in 1861-65, during which Eris formed a square (90°) to the Ascendant in the U.S. chart. Unfortunately, Eris has been forming a similar stressful aspect (sesqui-square-135°) to the U.S. Ascendant since 2011, and this aspect will stay in effect through 2021. Will this sesqui-square produce the same result as the square did in 1861-65?

Eris in 2011-18

Already in 2012, the Republicans and Democrats in congress could not agree on any issues, essentially ignored the interests of the people while dedicating most of their efforts to sabotage each other in the legislative process. Eris’ negative influence became even more apparent in 2014-17, when Uranus and Neptune joined Eris in forming stressful aspects to the U.S. Ascendant. Under these planetary influences, we had the most scandalous presidential election in U.S. history in 2016, and the campaign to remove Trump from power began in 2017. 

Mars, God of War

The vast majority of riots in the U.S. occurred when slow moving planets, such as Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto formed stressful aspects to Mars in the U.S. chart. This was the case of the Civil War. In 1863-64, Uranus formed a conjunction to the U.S. Mars. The same was true for the most violent race riots in 1966-68, when Saturn, Chiron, Uranus and Pluto formed stressful aspects to the U.S. Mars. Unfortunately, Mars in the U.S. chart has been under a stressful aspect (square-90°) from Neptune most of the time in 2020, and this aspect will remain in effect on and off through January 2023. 

Eris and Its Accomplices in 2019-20

In 2019, Pluto/Eris square came into play while both planets were forming a semi-square to the U.S. Ascendant. Their combined influence resulted in the impeachment hearings. In 2020, Jupiter and Saturn joined Pluto, and all the three as well as Eris have been forming stressful aspects to the U.S. Ascendant. Their influence brought Republicans and Democrats to a state of a cold civil war, and this war became hotter when “mostly peaceful” protests began on May 27, 2020.

 “Mostly Peaceful” Protests

From the end of May through August 2020, mass protests accompanied by riots and looting erupted in the U.S. In this period, Ceres, a dwarf planet that orbits between Mars and Jupiter, formed a square to the U.S. Ascendant thus magnifying the stressful influence of Jupiter, Saturn, Pluto and Eris. (To read, more log on “Mostly Peaceful” Protests.) Meanwhile, Uranus and Neptune formed stressful aspects to Mars in the U.S. chart. Finally, first Jupiter and then Saturn and Mars formed stressful aspects to Pluto in the U.S. chart. As soon as these aspects dissipated in September, the riots stopped.

The Second Civil War?

During these riots, the planetary influence of the stressful planetary aspects to the U.S. Ascendant and Mars were very similar to those taking place during the Civil War. Similar, but not the same. No, the U.S. will not suffer another civil war with one million casualties in 2020-21, nor in any other time in the 21^st Century, and here is why:

The Civil War in 1861-65 occurred during Pluto aphelion in 1865. Pluto aphelion, the point of its maximum separation from the Sun, occurs once every 248 years, and 15 years before and after each aphelion is a period of extreme violence. Thus, in about the same time as the American Civil War, three rebellions in China claimed between twenty and thirty million lives. Besides, civil wars have taken different forms in the New World Order that began in the 1990s.

New World Order

In November 1989, Pluto reached its perihelion, the point of its maximum proximity to the Sun. It is a rare cosmic phenomenon that occurs once in 248 years always marking monumental cultural and political changes. To read more, log on New World Order. Indeed, in the 1990s the world has changed dramatically and irrevocably, and the New World Order began. 

Velvet Revolutions

This new era began with mostly peaceful (velvet) revolutions in the Eastern Europe and the Soviet Union. In the following years, numerous essentially bloodless velvet revolutions occurred in many—if not most—countries of Europe and the Americas. Only thrice they became full-scale civil wars, in Bosnia, Serbia and Ukraine, and only because of the direct and massive military interference of foreign powers. It appears that these velvet revolutions became a norm in the New World Order replacing old-fashioned bloody civil wars as the means of toppling the governments.

The velvet revolution in the U.S. took place in June-August 2020. Will it erupt again? Certainly, yes. Will it. become a civil war? Certainly no. Essentially the same planetary aspects that were in effect during the highest level of street violence in the beginning of June 2020 will still be in place from the end of October through January 2021. If a civil war has not started so far, it will not start under similar planetary aspects in 2020-21. What we may expect from November through January is more of the same that took place during the first week of June 2020. The level of violence will rise dramatically, especially in December, but a full-scale civil war will not happen in U.S. any time soon.

Contested Elections

From October 14 and through the election day, retrograde Mercury will exert a specific influence upon the election, included but not limited to confusion and errors in the vote counting, electoral irregularities and even fraud. It is even possible that the election will be postponed due to the rise in violence, acts of terror, peak of the pandemic, foreign interference or even an outbreak of war involving the U.S. 

Post-Election Violence

For most of November, Jupiter, Pluto and Eris will be forming semi-squares to the U.S. Ascendant while Saturn will form a conjunction to the U.S. Pluto. At the same time, Uranus and the Nodes will be forming stressful aspects to the U.S. Mars. From November 15 through November 19, Mercury/Uranus opposition will form a semi-square to the U.S. Mars. At the same time, Venus will square Jupiter, Pluto and Saturn, while forming stressful aspects to the U.S. Ascendant and Pluto.

The above planetary configurations point to high possibility of street violence for the whole month, especially in November 15-19. The street violence may even surpass the level observed in the beginning in June 2020.

The level of violence will continue rising through December when Jupiter/Saturn conjunction will form a conjunction to Pluto in the U.S. chart. At the same time, Mars, Eris and Pluto will be forming stressful aspects to the U.S. Ascendant. Finally, Ceres will form semi-square to Mars, Pluto and Eris from December 15 through December 31. 

Stressful planetary aspects in the second half of December will be almost identical to those in effect during the highest level of street violence in the beginning of June. Unfortunately, the level of violence in December 15-31 will much greater than in June due to the influence of the North Node forming a conjunction to Mars in the U.S. chart. 

Cold Civil War in 2021-23

The street violence will begin to slowly diminish in January, as Jupiter and Saturn orbit away from their conjunction to Pluto, and the North Node goes out of the conjunction to the U.S. Mars. This velvet revolution will essentially end by April 2021 when most of the stressful aspects that caused will dissipate. Yet, civil unrests will be erupting occasionally till January 2023 due to the influence of Neptune square to the U.S. Mars. Eris sesqui-square (135°) to the U.S. Ascendant and Pluto return to the place it occupied during the War for Independence will keep the Cold Civil War between the Democrats and Republicans going, but it will be conducted peacefully. Well, for the most parts.

In spite of the political divide that may last for another fifteen years, harmonious aspects between Chiron, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto will bring about the most peaceful and prosperous word ever known. To read more log on Bright New World.
